International Panel: Reaching out to the World
German below / Deutsch weiter unten
In 2019, the International Panel will open with an auspicious event: The signing of the founding documents for a new umbrella organization called TEMPO. This organization seeks to connect the many film editor associations, societies, guilds and unions that exist in most countries, but that haven’t interacted a lot with each other in the past. TEMPO aims to change that, by facilitating, channeling and strengthening the efforts and achievements of the individual member associations, and by offering them a platform for international communication and cooperation. The impetus for TEMPO came out of the first International Film Editors Forum (IFEF) at Filmplus in 2018, so it seems fitting that one year later its creation should be celebrated here too. After the short signing ceremony, a high-profile panel will discuss the global interaction of film editing communities – including, but not limited to the goals set out by TEMPO. The panel guest will be encouraged to envision in what ways the interrelation and co-operation amongst editors can develop in the next few years, and how to improve public relations and lobbying for the profession.

INTERNATIONALES PANEL:
